The Scottish Portrait Gallery is a short walk along Queen Street and is not only a
recommended site for guests to visit, but is the bus stop for those visitors who wish to
see some of the wonderful art galleries within the city. Those Include the Modern Art
Gallery [above second from left] and Dean Art Gallery which for the art lover come highly
recommended. This bus service is free and returns guests to the Scottish Portrait
Gallery from where they can walk back to the hotel [above second from right] in only
10 minutes. Being so near to the city centre, Windsor Street is metered so visitors do
have pay to park from 8.00am to 5.30pm from Monday to Friday. It is FREE to park in
Windsor Street on Saturday and Sunday and is also free in the evenings from 5.30pm
to 8.00am Monday to Friday. The permit parking zone ends approximately 10 minutes
walk from the hotel.
